(Origanum vulgare) – Steam‑distilled oregano leaves yield potent compounds such as carvacrol, thymol, and rosmarinic acid. These phenolic components give oregano oil strong antioxidant, antibacterial, and antifungal properties. Used topically (always diluted), oregano oil provides natural protection and supports healthy‑looking skin.

INGREDIENTS:  Oregano Leaves (Origanum Vulgare) Organic Olive Oil (Olea europaea).

WEIGHT: 50ML

  • Wound protection: Applying diluted oregano oil to minor cuts or scrapes may help protect the skin as it heals; research attributes this to thymol and carvacrol, which have antibacterial properties and may reduce the risk of infection.

  • Antifungal action: Oregano oil is a potent antifungal agent. Reviews note that thymol can inhibit Candida species that cause yeast infections, infected nails, and athlete’s foot, so a diluted topical application may help prevent fungal overgrowth on the skin.

  • Antioxidant and anti‑inflammatory support: Oregano oil’s phenolic compounds are powerful antioxidants, helping to protect cells from oxidative stress. In animal studies, carvacrol has shown anti‑inflammatory effects, so the oil may soothe minor irritation when diluted.

  • Insect repellent: Research suggests carvacrol and thymol can repel ticks, mosquitoes, and even fire ants.  A small amount of diluted oregano oil on exposed skin may act as a natural repellent.

  • Pain relief: A small animal study found that oregano extracts provided pain relief, so a diluted topical blend may help ease sore muscles.

TO USE: Apply a few drops directly to clean skin and massage gently. Because the infusion is already diluted in olive oil, no further carrier oil is necessary, but you should still perform a patch test on the inside of your forearm and wait 24 hours before wider use. Avoid applying it to open wounds, broken skin, or near the eyes.

PRECAUTIONS AND DISCLAIMERS: Even though this preparation is milder, the usual precautions still apply. Discontinue use if redness or irritation develops, and do not use if you’re allergic to oregano or other mint‑family plants (such as basil, sage or lavender). There’s little safety data on oregano oil for children, pregnant or breastfeeding women, so those groups should avoid it. People taking medications such as lithium or certain diuretics should consult a healthcare provider before using any form of oregano oil.  As always, herbal oils are not a substitute for professional medical care.

NOTE: This oil is for cosmetic use only. Not intended to treat, cure, or prevent any disease.
